There’s this wild obsession with the idea of a midfield being played through, but I think the two glaring weaknesses in the squad are a lack of security and creativity on the ball in both deep and advanced midfield areas. Biss at least solves the security part.

It doesn’t make sense to let go of Bissouma (and it never did). One reason is this is what happens when you press a midfield with limited technical ability:

Now they’ve sold Antony to Betis for ~ £60m less than they bought him for in a window in which Elanga sold for ~ £50m. This club is like a Trump casino.

So if Manchester Utd are moving on from Onana, that marks yet another saga in which a very good Prem proven gk (Henderson) whom Utd used to have is excelling while Utd flap around with high-profile signings to ‘replace’ what they already had with worse players.

We had more and worse injuries when we faced them but at least we tried to win.
