There is one prominent wrecker who constantly tours swing state college towns with his "both sides are the same" spiel. Dampening turn out. It's not just the president but state legislatures and county & town councils missing seats that could be Dem. He doesn't care, his Sen seat is safe.

I used to get invites to great parties, dinners, and concerts in NY every week from a group chain. I sent them replies that I wasn't the Brooklyn Anne. Why can't my office friends do some of these? (I tried)

I contend wearing buttons on the NYC subway and DC Metro gives a candidate or issue national media visibility and legitimacy. Editors and producers see them everyday and that people they relate to care.
