this isn’t right at all. he picked up @3m votes, NOT NEARLY all of them from dems/former dems. dems LOST @7m from biden to harris. they need to get THOSE votes back.

His supporters vote. Dems are going to have to convince a lot of them to change their votes to your candidates.

It is absolutely NOT a wealth tax. It “taxes” EVERY shareholder, regardless of “wealth,” but ONLY of those companies he chooses opportunistically (in exchange for letting the co itself do questionable foreign transactions, apparently). It’s an wealth-blind opportunistic extortion
I’m the furthest from a Trump fan. But the reality is that he would have to shake very hard to equate to the shakedowns of the unrealized cap gains tax and warren’s tax that were proposed.

I think it goes back to the “fallout” from things like “clinging to their guns and bibles” and “basket of deplorables.” Liberals “learned” that they need to give a modicum of logic/credit to things that don’t have any claim to logic or merit any credit, rather than explaining why they actually don’t

A major problem here (imo) is that the threat of the “reform” you call for led to what we now have. Fear of being forced to be “woke” and to give up “liberties” (and/or o&g) is what they’re reacting to. We need global governance to cause real “good,” ESPECIALLY re climate, and THAT’S what they fear
