Not only does he know nothing about French history, he knows nothing about Arab history as well.
People are melting down at a Tribune article about CHSD 230 considering adding Arabic to its language learning electives. I wasted time in the comments, which I normally avoid doing since it's useless and awful, but it led to possibly the funniest thing anybody's ever said to me about France.

A close 2nd analogue would be, as you intimated, Nazi ideology. Worth noting he is US senator fr Missouri.
Really important to call this exactly what it is - the mainstreaming of a really nasty strain of blood-and-soil nationalism with its closest analogues and likely source among the white supremacist movement.

I don't understand why she didn't ask Google for comment on why they removed his entire channel, instead of just the 6 videos he demanded be taken down. This is a shameful bit of cowardice in the face of MAGA bullying.

Either this series is so good a trailer cannot do it justice. Or it's totally lame. I really can't tell based on the trailer. But I want it to be good. I do.
I never really got into Bojack but this new show from the same creator about three Jewish siblings and their relationships with their mother/parents seems potentially uncomfortably relatable so I should either definitely watch it or never watch it for my own sanity.

Hostages? Yes. Palestinians? Shrug. This is "I was shooting, now I'm crying." Boo-hoo.

I don't know who "needs" Newsom. But it sure ain't me or millions of Democrats who truly need a candidate who will call end to military aid to Israel and end the war. They need someone who unabanshedly stands with all Americans, including every letter of the LGBTQ+ alphabet. That ain't him.
The thing is, every time you defend Newsom as a great candidate and what “we” need, you’re telling trans people that you’re willing to throw them under the bus
You can sit in my mentions and whine about how I’m criticizing Newsom too much and I will continue to highlight how your transphobia sucks

Kennedy is a eugenicist. But he distinguishes bet. the ill and well, rather than bet. races (though if u scratched the surface he prob does believe POC R genetically "deficient"). The ill deserve their illness because they didn't take their Vitamin A or whatever. The well did & deserve to live
You seem to be the only commenter on here that makes this distinction. Everyone else is shouting about eugenics, but as you point out, that is targeted at specific (hated) groups, and not the whole population. RFK is targeting everyone!

One difference between Nazi medicine and RFK is that the Nazis experimented with the lives and bodies of Jews, Roma, etc. bad as that might be. But Kennedy is experimenting on the lives & bodies of us all & millions of us will die.
That Trump and Trumpism are fascist doesn’t explain the sheer vandalism of unleashing mass murdering mayhem via RFK to replace medical/scientific institutions of immense value and prestige with medieval peasant superstitions. That is a criminal madness facilitated by but above and beyond fascism.

Not to mention that states determine voting rules. Not the feds, right?
This is a great time to remind everyone that EOs aren’t laws, the federal government doesn’t manage voting in this way, and it’s all a scare tactic and any reporting that doesn’t provide that context is enabling potentially lawless activity.
