This is an example of Democrats committing collective suicide via focus group.
"Leadership" doesn't mean following public opinion on what people already believe, it means making the case for what YOU stand for.
Failure to lead means not being elected to lead.

Words/phrases Democrats should never use:
- bipartisan
- my Republican friends
- real, valid, legitimate, serious, important (to describe issue raised by Republicans)
- yea (when voting on Republican bills)
- distraction (to describe bad thing Republicans did)
- woke (in derogatory sense)

Utter horseshit.
Another coward trying to scold progressive voices for basic terms turned into "controverisies" by bad faith discussions and zero fact-checking.
Meanwhile Republicans literally ship innocent people off to concentration camps every day without a peep from those same cowards.
It would be a huge step forward for Democrats and for general clarity in political writing if these terms went away. These came mostly from academic hothouses.
