  3. Again, if Psaki "attacked religion" and "diminished the faith" of millions of Americans, so too did all the faith leaders who have also criticized "thoughts and prayers" rhetoric.

    As a factual matter, Johnson's framing here — which, again, shows up roughly annually — doesn't match reality.

  5. That said, the only acceptable reason to nominate a 77 year old to six year term is if you believe no-one else can possibly win the seat, and that goes for incumbents and even icons too. I'm sure Mills is a peach but I don't think she is uniquely able to win Maine and start her Senate career age 79.
