You have to organize. I don't know what else to tell people. And organizing is not sexy and it is difficult and it matters that you be persistent. We need long-distance runners right now.
People are like "Leonid is being a ghoul" but actually attempting to save rural hospitals given the budget constraint is going to negatively impact urban hospitals where there is a better lives/dollar ratio on care even despite the higher overhead of being in the city
I think the state should decline to bail out any of these rural hospitals.
Again, if Psaki "attacked religion" and "diminished the faith" of millions of Americans, so too did all the faith leaders who have also criticized "thoughts and prayers" rhetoric.
As a factual matter, Johnson's framing here — which, again, shows up roughly annually — doesn't match reality.

I think any government shutdown is bad.
I don’t think Democrats should make any concessions in order to keep it open.
That said, the only acceptable reason to nominate a 77 year old to six year term is if you believe no-one else can possibly win the seat, and that goes for incumbents and even icons too. I'm sure Mills is a peach but I don't think she is uniquely able to win Maine and start her Senate career age 79.
