IMO it's just another scam that would benefit the banks & the wealthy buy more homes so they can rent them out.
The amount of money saved a month isn't doing much to make housing much cheaper & you'd barely make a dent in the principal to be able to make a decent profit when you sell your home.

If Trump really changed his mind on the Epstein files, he could just order Bondi to release them. No vote needed. The whole "legally required to" line is instructions to hide the parts he doesn't want to get out, hidden under the "we need these files for our selective vindictive prosecutions" line.
