I cannot stress enough that getting mad at the writer over headlines is focusing on the wrong target. It is the editor's job to write headlines - and sometimes even the publisher

I don’t even know the context, but with my background I can see why the complainers are especially stupid.
I feel like journalists and teachers often get the "I know your job better than you do" treatment from the sidelines by folks who have absolutely no idea how the profession works
