Here's some actual numbers. And yes, you're reading that right. Half a million trans adults live at-risk in the south.
sitting online and saying 'wake up america' isn't going to wake people up. but you can volunteer locally, get involved in spreading awareness about local elections, and help fight misinformation and disinformation by reading up thoroughly and arming yourself with facts.
I'm gunna be so annoying about trans rights because my friends are scared and I am so pissed off that so many are willing to compromise on their safety.
They deserve to live peaceful lives free of the terror of others constantly scrutinizing their right to exist the same as anyone else.
when you answer mis/disinformation with facts online, remember: the goal isn't to convince the person you're correcting.
the goal is to prevent OTHERS who might not know, from falling for the the purposeful spread of incorrect info.
