No, it makes it pretty important to prioritize defeating all fascist parties, and not creating new ones.
Just because today the Republicans are embracing fascism and the Democrats aren't is no guarantee that will continue to be the case.

Dems shouldn't support gerrymandering in general.
But compensatory gerrymandering until enough people are willing to put an end to it does seem better than only one side doing it and getting an advantage that way.

True, but even if both sides max out gerrymandering, it will still favor the fascists and their ilk, simply because it gives more power to the leaders and less to the populace, and that's what fascism is all about.
