the problem is it was isolated rhetoric, we needed concerted policy action. if they think it was heavy handed before they wont like the backlash that mandates vaccines and charges people with child endangerment

we might be from different walks of life but i would follow capt boat shoes to hell in back, sub in hand

this is 100% true but it's the reason we should change things not the reason things will never change. Police relying on unenforceable laws to be able to arbitrarily enforce fines is bad and can change. good things are possible
-
ngl i dont think its true because driving out of a kettle requires hitting police officers with your car. this is stupid, you are all up and down this thread making a fool of yourself so that people can speed down residential streets to get to McDonald's faster, not be totally based freedom fighter
-
if you can't fix the problem until the problem is already fixed, we're never going to fix the problem. at some point we will need to change incentives, even if those changes have externalities
-
it's true, we shouldn't fix any problems until they're easy

the "i would be fine being killed for landback" is a specific example that happened a few years back and was discourse for a few days and i have personally seen the race is mixing is bad but wokely stuff irl, not even just on social media. its real and very dumb

I'm sure any day now we will have a story about conservative politicians having to be anti-woke to appease the groups on their side and how it makes them unelectable. any second now.
-
yeah that works a lot better

I also think Hajime Isayama, the creator of Attack on Titan. very nationalist irl and attack on Titan is essentially nationalist, exterminationist fan fiction but in the middle is a fairly serviceable political thriller.
