Feel sorry for people like me who have jobs where we often have to deal with other people's written copy. The general standard of written English, even at professional management level is not what it should be.

I'll bet it's the elderly they target. Much safer arresting elderly people peacefully protesting than risking it against the hoodlums out there commiting actual crime. And they still get to notch it up against crimes dealt with. Bonus.
