To clarify: the Monday evening ICE checkpoint is generally at 17th and Benning next to the Ross on the westbound side. This one had a ton of unmarked cars.

Monday means ICE detaining people on H and Benning---currently headed east but they usually set up a checkpoint in the afternoon/evening, please avoid the area
-
Also a massive ICE/FBI presence out around 15th and Benning NE near the Pentacle apartments

mixed some with a couple tablespoons of a gifted chambourcin that was way too sweet and it's like a PB&J. asinine, embarrassing, I will be drinking all of it

Chica-Chida has made it to DC and @trainisland.bsky.social is completely correct: it's maybe the dumbest thing I've ever had to drink. five stars

I don't know, man, I'm just tired. at the end of July we had a bullet go through our bedroom window while I was standing by it by I have never felt less safe in the city than I do right now

there are cops every two or three blocks on H St. daycare workers won't take kids outside and contractors are afraid to use their vans. helicopters are constant. the soldiers with guns at metro stations are there seemingly to remind you that you can't do anything about it

living in DC right now means chatting with your general contractor who interrupts the conversation to take a call about ICE spotted near a work site, and him going over safety protocols to protect his staff from detention and deportation
