  1. Republicans impeached Clinton for having a consensual, albeit highly inappropriate, sexual relationship with an adult. (I know, technically it was for lying under oath and obstruction of justice, but Republican standards have fallen off a cliff.)

  2. No, don’t you see, Americans don’t care about accountability or justice or law or human rights or the constitution, they care about kitchen table issues like ignoring genocide and giving sweet prison deals to child sex traffickers (which is also a distraction to talk about).

  3. Until we get 67 Democratic senators, the impeachment process will be futile.

It'd be a major victory if we can get to 51 senators in 2026. Trump will have to be "neutralized" in a way not mentioned in the constitution.

Rooting for a stroke, plane/helo crash or a competent assassin is our only hope

  4. Should've been done. MAGA groups are running ads that the big butcher bill is a good thing and Dems voted against it.

  5. Considering the gop is an overtly fascist party now, i'd say the days bipartisan "reaching across the aisle" are over. Idc if your bill has nazi support. I want Socialist candidates that actually wanna legislate meaningful long-term change for working ppl.

  6. The president is a notorious sex criminal who -operates a kidnapping ring that sends innocent people to foreign torture prisons -wrecks the economy with illegal tariffs -extorts universities and businesses -ignores congress and the courts and rules like a king What else do you need

  7. i think the problem is that we have already impeached him twice, and look where we are. i’m not sure if it’s a winning thing anymore

  8. We will grab our Democratic senators that are voting for Trump policy on a daily basis and remove them from the party first.

Why would people vote Democrat when they vote with Trump .

  9. The problem is that there will be no more midterm elections. You have to overthrow a dictatorship, you can't vote a dictator out.

  10. I'm waiting for Musk to turn on him & I'm dam sure there will be a good number of republicans by now that are starting to have a gutful of his evil hate on his own citizens.

  11. This depends on the primaries and who wins there in the leadup to the midterms.

Raw numbers also matter: In a victory with high turnout you have to accept some potentially conservative Dems to expand the power of progressive ones, they can bargain and matter against the DNC, no power if R's win

  12. We must resist the urge to be too radical, the american people don't want divisiveness. I've introduced a bill to the house which will require by law that any democratic bill introduced into congress must have 100% republican support or else it automatically fails. Compromise is what americans want

  13. Reporter: “which crimes”

Random Dem: “oh, I’m glad you asked! This is actually a really exciting part of the pitch…” (pulls out large game show wheel)

That's One But There's A List Of About 300 Times, At Least, Where Trump Has Broken The Law. How many Cases Of Extortion Alone Are There?

  15. If they say it just as a midterm pitch, and they haven’t been saying it all along, they aren’t worth having. Toss them the fuck aside.

  16. Honestly, anything he ever presided over should be deemed illegitimate and void, including anyone he appointed to any position, and the decisions they made thereafter. At minimum. What we really need is a constitutional convention. This is a "reorganize how the government works" level of disaster.

  17. With respect ... promising something that the Democratic Party can't deliver on will do more harm than good.

The only path to remove Trump from office is to flip 20/22 GOP senate seats while holding all 13 Democratic senate seats. That's not going to happen.

    0
  18. Hot take: it's a weak pitch, because the president is part of a system

If your political platform is otherwise defending similar interests as the president, then you won't go after him, because that would hurt the system

Also, if the courts serve the same interests, they won't hurt him either

  19. “We urge President Trump to take a more bipartisan approach and look forward to cooperating with him to achieve our lofty goals together.” Isn’t good enough?

  21. Didn't the US armed forces raise their hand and swear to serve and protect the constitution? Cause I doubt you'll ever get a fair, unrigged election...sadly.

  22. Impeaching/removing the Felon isn't the panacea you think it is! Never forget it's all or none since this entire regime is nothing but loyalists and sycophants being run by a neo-Nazi Stephen Miller's shadow government.

From the frying pan to the fire isn't a solution.

  23. It's nice but I can't do "Lucy w/ the football" again. My heart was thoroughly broken last time... plus the avg voter around here has no idea what that means. They aren't interested in introspection or democracy. They just wanna be able to buy groceries and go to the doctor. That's the message, imo

  24. Please stop trying to distract people from the kitchen table issues they would definitely pay attention to if everyone just stopped talking about the president’s crimes and his good friend the notorious pedo

    0
  25. That would likely lead to a 6-3 SCOTUS decision that launching a drone strike on the House Progressive Caucus does indeed fall within the scope of protected official duties of the President

Not saying it’s a bad idea! At least if you run on it they might not be able to use the shadow docket.

    0
  26. sorry, the dems are going with “actually trump was the one who was president when an illegal immigrant got sex reassignment surgery in prison, which won’t happen because we will patrol the border with predator drones that vaporize anyone who tries”

    0
  27. That fuels attention to orange idiot. We campaign on healthcare and cost Of living and housing. Things people care about. And lets not forget the #Epsteinfiles and the disregard for all women!!

  28. the dem platform has been "the other guy sucks but what can ya do?" since at least john kerry and the only time it worked was obama because everyone imagined his election would mean something (it didn't)

    0
  29. Isn't that something that they also wanted to do ~4 years ago and it turned into a vague "maybe the president should face some consequence for something, anything, at all" and then it was determined that nah, he's legally an actual untouchable demigod anyways?

  30. Read it as if came from a fortune cookie 🥠 by adding “in bed” at the end. Seems like a good morning mantra to me 🤷‍♀️

  31. A better one is a constitutional convention. We need radical reform. The current Constitution doesn't work anymore. The Senate should be based on population. There is no way N Dakota should have 2 and California with 50x more ppl, and also only 2.

  32. kvett20.bsky.social profile picture

None of the Dems better utter to words, “It’s time to heal…..”, that’ll boomerang quickly.

    1
  33. “for his many crimes and broken promises” if you want to reach MAGA. They don’t care about his many crimes, but he did promise them lower food prices, which ain’t happening.

  34. Hahahahahahahahahah, you think we'll get fair elections😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂since you all didn't bother fighting that scam last fall, you told them you dog gaf about your voices; the heritage foundation/oligarchy won't let the trillions spent to just let it go in midterms🙄🙄😂😂😂 #gtfo

    0
  35. I agree, however, the entire election was a sham, so Kamela should be in office, and Trump and his ridiculous team of liars, and losers, including JD Vance, all need to go, we the people don't need the Supreme Court to make this decision

    0
  36. Can't wait for them to just make posts on social media about being very disappointed and concerned and then do nothing about it.

the lady that the media and republicans were upset about saying "impeach the motherfucker" hasn't lost her seat.

  38. "We will liquidate absolutely all of his holdings, and use that money to make reparations with his many victims, whether they be CECOT deportees or his victims with Epstein."

    0
  39. And prosecute him for said crimes. We will also pass laws removing the corrupt Supreme Court Justices or raise the seats to 13 to match the 13 federal districts.

    0
  40. I think simply, “we’re going to rename Texas to Mexico and Florida to Shitbag Pennisula” would be enough to carry most districts.

    0
  41. It hasn't worked then & definitely not going to work now. Only the exposure of the criminal cabal on the Epstein Files can stop the madness.

    0
  42. I need a little bit more like, “… and his accomplices.” I’d also like to see mention of prison for all of them. To include scotus members for treason. Am I being unreasonable? 🤔 Naaaahhh!

    0
  43. Seeing as Republicans in the Senate won't go along.

You'll have to have the Dems campaign on improving Americans material conditions (healthcare, infrastructure, income inequality, etc.)

    1
  44. Impeachment has been feckless. I am voting for "I will block him at every turn, then finish prosecutions when he leaves office. Same for his cronies."

    0
  45. Most voters see impeachment hearings as political theater and a waste of time and they're right if you the senate votes aren't there.

    0
  46. It won’t happen … valid Vance is feared more than the r🦧 ist who they can control to a certain degree but religious fervour will take over if the deputy takes over from the sheriff

    0
  47. This won’t play out with independents and democrats in R-leaning districts. Might need to lean more into trans women being evil.

Thank you DNC for the 100 million in consulting fees

    0
  48. Unfortunately JD Vance is possibly worse than Trump. The impeachment didn't work out well last time. I think it would be better to have the House and Senate controlled by democrats and then not allow Trump to do much of anything his final 2 years in office.

    2
  49. Seeing someone else get in trouble is truly a favorite American pastime and this would be effective, second only to actually giving people money. From the entire True Crime genre, to the specific “Cops” tv show, and even branching out to Game of Thrones; all present this thrill to viewers.

    1
  50. Okay, I think you've really got something here, but as a highly-compensated campaign consultant I think we can punch it up a little. Let's just replace "impeach and remove" with "draft a strongly-worded letter to," and replace "many crimes" with "kitchen table issues"?

    THAT'S how you win elections!

    0
  51. “Here are all the impeachable crimes the president committed in the last week” is a good Monday morning press conference, and “here’s why he won’t be impeached” followed by a giant poster of Johnson’s smug-ass face is also good messaging.

    0
  52. I think that's half of it, the Democrats also need to bring an alternative to the table. "We will prosecute this asshole and also give you better health care" is one hell of a platform

    2
  53. And those who want to be reelected should be putting in articles of impeachment every day now. He commits crimes almost every single day. You could submit articles of impeachment daily and not run out of things to impeach him for
