I personally think particular clades of immortals with designs of absolute rule would find them dashed upon the rocks of messy reality - I also think that following the fear to its conclusion would require you to disavow like, triple bypasses and stroke care as tools of incipient gerontocracy.

at risk of wading into discourse I think everyone who has ever said anything along the lines of "immortality would actually be horrible because dying is what makes us truly human" is basically engaging in cope. being alive is good and senescence and dying are bad.

How itch responded to this and (failed to) communicate what was going on is very telling and reveals underlying problems with the platform that erodes trust in it.

It doesn't help that they KEEP fucking up in weird and avoudable ways, like revealing theres a secret list of tags that will flag your game as NSFW without telling you unless you go hunting for a particular settings page you're never alerted to.

I think people can continue their call campaign and remind people that itch cannot currently be trusted (just by nature of the pressure on them) to support the queer community until proven otherwise.
