In particular, the one about giving parents $333/mo ($4000/year) for 4 years cites that it didn't reduce maternal stress levels. No fucking shit. My mom told me just before she died that she NEVER stopped worrying about me. I was 35 years old, and she was still stressed about me being safe.

"I gave a hungry man a fish and he was hungry again the next day! Turns out that food is not the solution to hunger."

I'm not an anarchist, but I have used probably a quarter of these terms in the past month in discussions about ROMANCE NOVELS. These are normal words to use when talking about specific social issues!

My husband spent 27 hours in police custody because one of our neighbors didn't like that our children are Autistic and sometimes do "weird" things, so they reported us for child abuse and neglect, and 4 years later, my youngest is still pee her pants terrified whenever she sees a uniformed officer.

Who is holding guns to these whiners heads and making them listen to super nerd pod casts?

Sometimes the "criminal" is actually the victim. I literally spent 4 hours at the ER being checked for a heart attack because once again the neighbors called the cops and DCFS on my Autistic daughter acting Autistically and the anxiety combined with brand new perimenopausal GERD made me feel like:

The only time I come close to saying it is when I'm discussing my family, as in, "My dad, who immigrated from Germany as a very young toddler, didn't begin speaking until kindergarten, and the whole family just thought that was because of the language change, but it was actually probably Autism."

Back when I was gestating I greatly preferred being referred to as a "pregnant person" over the nauseating "little Mommy" that some health care workers called me when they didn't want to read my name off the chart. It's reassuring to know they were still viewing me as a PERSON, not an incubator.

I think they're less rabid about the "LGBT" than the fully expanded inclusive "LGBTQIA+."
Them: "People don't even know what all the letters mean, wah!"
I, for one, would greatly prefer to be referred to as a fringe part of the Alphabet Mafia than the old way of just calling me a "frigid bitch."

Who is not using the words "pregnant people*" or "LGBTQ" or "cisgender" or "postmodern"?
Postmodern is a buzzword? Since fucking when?!
*Hi, yes, I was still a god damned PERSON (not a "little mommy"!) when I was incubating another human.
