I’m sorry, but “territorial concessions” by any democratic nation protecting their sovereignty and their citizens to any invading army seems kinda nuts, as well as contrary to what our US has always believed.

Why is this on the table at all?

  1. Because we have an illegitimate president who is compromised and is a traitor in bed with the offending aggressor Nation Russia controlled by a dictator named Putin. Remember the sedition yeah he never stopped doing that either along with the insurrection. It's time for him to be removed permanently

  2. If it’s really a ploy to put Putin under pressure, put him on the spot in what is clearly the highest profile meeting we’ve had, then fine.

But it’s doubtful that the Trump Administration is on Europe’s side seeing them as a barrier to the peace prize he covets.

Just which side is Trump on? lol

  3. What our US has "always believed" is that we can just invade, slaughter, and plunder, and go home. Leaving behind mass poverty and suffering while "defense" contractors bank billions.

    But Russia's the evil empire?

  4. Damn, they have torpedoes, luff the mainsail.

I only regret that I have but one large territory to give for my country.

Give me liberty and I'll give you a nice port on the black sea.

  5. Why is it the one person in the world who would give Putin half of Ukraine, just to get a deal, negotiating at all? Doesn't Ukraine get a voice in who negotiates with it's invader?

  6. Because Trump just wants to say he "won" and that is what Putin wants in order to let Trump "win".

  7. How can you make territorial concessions of land which is owned by a third country? If Canada and Mexico agreed that the east coast of US goes to Canada, how would that feel?

  8. How about Putin gets Alaska, Trump gets Nagorno-Karabahk, and Zelenzki gets Kalingrad? Then everybody will be happy.

  9. I can't imagine Ukraine agreeing to this. Why would they? And they do get a say in this. So does the rest of Europe.

I know Trump thinks what he says goes (which is almost true now domestically), but that's not the way the world works.

  10. When trump said there would be swaps and switches do you think Alaska might be a bargaining chip?

  11. Because y'all allowed this to happen and every day that passes by you do nothing about it.

  12. Because not only does Putin have something on Trump (although it might only be that truly shameful Helsinki two-shot😭), Trump is fundamentally weak and a terrible negotiator with only one mode, the ultimatum.

  13. It's kind of like if you go to the trial of the person who burglarized your house and they get "punished" by promising to stop as long as they can keep the stuff they stole. In other words, insane.

  14. He will agree to it. Ukraine and Europe will reject it. He will blame Ukraine for obstructing peace. He tells his boy and the public that he tried and blame Ukraine. He stops supporting them. Wash, rinse, repeat. So sad. Just another distraction.

  15. Because dear leader is a 13 yr old who wants to hang with the 18 yr olds, so he's pandering to his idol

  16. Which is why the US overthrew the democratically-elected government in Ukraine in order to install a puppet, I guess

  17. Trump is afraid of Putin and acts like his bitch. He wants a quick and dirty deal he can celebrate himself for, then throw the problem to Europe entirely, and blame them and Ukraine when things go south. But there probably won't be a deal reached anyway. More delays, and still no pressure on Russia.

  18. The same President who said in public that he believes Putin over his own intelligence community?

We are in disgraceful shambles as a country right now.

  19. Our history is built on resisting invasions and protecting borders; negotiating away land risks compromising national integrity and security. This could weaken a nation’s ability to defend itself in the future.

  20. The only concession that Ukraine will agree to is that land borders return to where they were before Russia invaded

  21. It is totally nuts. It seems nobody is abiding by agreements or treaties anymore. It is appalling that we allow our children to think that breaking our word is normal.

Our children are watching and learning bad form.

T should be impeached and removed as soon as possible

  24. Why is this on a table? Because The USA becomes a dictatorship and a pedophile endorsing nation! At least this is how it looks from Europe! I hope I a, wrong, as the USA under Soldiers like Hertling was a beacon of freedom! (Edited 17:53 via @skeetsapp.com)

  25. It’s like extortion if you give in once they’ll be back for more. That’s why Trumps pushing this it’s what he knows.

  26. The US loved believing in democratic nations sovereignty when they manifested their destiny from sea to shining sea, then abroad to philippines, guam, hawaii, korea, japan, vietnam, iran, chile etc. It’s on the table because imperial game recognizes imperial game and only in the mood for proxy war.

  27. Trump is a moron but the people behind him are not. I mean surely they won’t also be discussing divvying up arctic sovereignty re annexing 🇨🇦 🇬🇱 in the future right? Right??

  28. It’s on the table because seventy-seven million American idiots voted for a fascist/convicted felon/serial liar/rapist because they couldn’t stomach the idea of a clever, competent, higher-qualified biracial woman occupying the Oval Office.

  29. Political theater by the worst actor on the planet, for the international criminal with an arrest warrant. Nothing but distractions and bluff. Putin doesn't want to end the war.

  30. Zelinskyi should have been whipping the vote for Democrats in Pennsylvania and Arizona in summer of 2024, to the brink of what the law allows, instead of going to kiss the ring and giving Ukrainian-Americans an excuse to vote GOP. That was a political malpractice.

  31. Because of Trump tactics. He has watched Toni Soprano cautiously and learned a lot to improve his tactics.

  32. If we use Matt Whitaker's flawed "earned territory" logic, our government shouldn't have sent us to remove Iraqi forces from Kuwait in 1990-91. Saddam "earned" his 19th province through conquest.

  33. Because (1) we have never supported Ukraine to the extent we should have due to unfounded fears over Putin escalating and (2) Donald Trump is a simpering coward who will give away another country's sovereign territory to appease Putin and to get his Nobel Peace Prize that he's sure he deserves.

    0
  34. In the US there are no longer any principles by which government works, everything at arms' length and how it benefits Trump personally. After all, he he's striving for getting the next Nobel Prize for peace ;-)

  35. Does the russians have a full copy of the Epstein files? BTW: Trump just announced he was going to russia on friday. A freudian slip, or just dementia?

  36. Because Trump is a dangerous idiot who idolizes Putin, and he is surrounded by dangerous sycophants who aid and abet him.

Republicans are all traitors to democracy

  37. Ugh because your compatriots voted in a man that has always, consistently been unequivocally pro russian and anti NATO already since the 1980s.

But wow. Shocker. Unpredictable. The man who talked about peace is leading you straight to war.

Not like that ever happened in history, right?

  38. Because we are a terrorist dictatorial country now. That’s why. We are the bad guys now. We no longer believe in democracy. Did you forget or something?
