Ive read the distinction themed vs thematic, but I think that is used more to distinguish a "pasted on" theme from a researched one (like Punchline). Im not sure flavoured fill the lacuna, Im describing, but then again, I havent heard it in use in bg critism in this way, so it might be me.

I think Narrative is fitting. Although its also kind of a loaded term with different meanings that are used all at the same time. OtoH maybe its more like the model I have used, or the axioms/hypothesis Im using. I mean the author is dead anyway, but it can be fun to see which models they used.

I quite liked the Murderbot-show. They did an excellent job of translating the first novella to the small screen. Not perfect, but very watchable and a big recommend.
