  4. There are a zillion law enforcement vacancies in the country right now, the NYPD is desperate for new officers to join a force with a strong union who generally won't be forced to do things that their grandchildren will be ashamed of

    Its definitely bad and people who shouldnt be government agents are going to get in. I just dont see a large surge in people who want to do this, at least enough to be a sizeable, nationwide force

  6. The concept is ridiculous. FEMA folks want to help people. ICE wants to hurt people. Curious to see how many FEMA folks tell them where to stick it.

  8. Accidentally applied to ICE (for a creative role) back in early 2019. Withdrew my application, but could not get that HR dept. to stop calling me back. Never experienced anything like that in the job market, before or since.
