This dude got his PhD 5 years ago and works at Heritage - here's his unpublished diss with 1 citation www.proquest.com/docview/2452...

Here's the fired Comm. of Labor Statistics with 20+ years of government economics experience and an extensive publishing record scholar.google.com/citations?us...

  1. Do they just sit there and ChatGPT “who is the worst possible candidate for this position“ for every damn one?

  2. Another person who will be selected on the basis of fealty - to the extent they are incapable of uttering a sentence that is not simple minded propaganda

    • rather than the ability to effectively manage an organization, with integrity.

  3. Am I missing something? I see citations in the footnotes on the available preview ("Chapter 1").

They don't really correlate with the things he claims, and the most outlandish claims go uncited, but there do seem to be citations...

  4. At some point we're going to be so far down the rabbit hole that we'll never get back out.

  5. He admitted to null results that do not support GOP talking points!?! That level of intellectual honesty and transparency is disqualifying, no chance he gets the job!

  6. Sorry, I know that I have said on here before that there is too much shaming of peoples' appearances, but all of these dudes they keep pulling out of nowhere are downright creepy looking. I don't know what it is, but they give me the creeps.

  7. Is he the guy who gave the madman his 'new' econ charts based on info only available to Heritage Foundation? lol That would at least partly explain it.

  8. Of course he’s perfect for the job. Talks false history. Looks like an inbred psychopath.

  9. I’ve said it before. I’ll say it again. It is not a coincidence that an administration that vehemently opposes DEI programs is full of mediocre, incompetent and/or unqualified White people. It’s the plan. These are the people who are actually threatened by competition from a diverse workforce.

  10. On the right, things like JDs and PhDs are the Venn where the disdain of actual education and the need for appearing smart and credentialed coalesces.

  11. Well, technically, it's been cited twice: in this post. But seriously, the Trump regime is all about hiring phony intellectuals, peer-ridiculed dipshits, and failed "scientists" (see the NIH).

  12. Job Qualifications for the Trump Administration:

    • Fascist
    • Racist/Misogynistic
    • Opportunist
    • Critical of the department you’d like to lead
    • Completely unqualified for the position Other desirable qualities: Secretly connected to other authoritarian regimes (Bonus points if it’s Russia)

  13. Trump's whole job is destroying any semblance of honesty and truth. This latest dick is just another piece of shit in trump's putrid swamp of an administration. #VoterSuicide

  14. I've got more citations than that from my work as a lab tech two decades ago. (My PI was incredibly generous with sharing authorship with the people who did the lion's share of the work for him.)

  15. A lack of qulifications isn't a bug, it's a feature. It helps ensure that they have very little deference for the ethics in their field and actually doing the work properly. It also makes them more dependent on the job since they can't take their qualifications and go elsewhere.

  16. I don’t like to emphasize credentials as a measure of competence but the PhD is from Northern Illinois University, whose Economics Department unwisely chose to publish a placements website that shows five PhDs getting employed over the past five years, only one a tenure track position.

  17. Heritage Foundation, source of Project 2025 and the driving force behind making the GOP a death cult.

Climate change denial. Anti-vaccine. Ending USAID, cancer research, NIH funding. Just anti-science in general and so thin skinned. Dragging us into the abyss for their sins.

  18. Does anyone find it odd that his online bios don't say where he got his bachelor's? Even his LinkedIn profile elides this part of his education, although it lists his high school. Can one enroll in NIU grad school without one? Is he embarrassed b/c it's a joke ... or a good school disdained by MAGA?

  19. Well this makes sense. We hire a vaccine denier with worms in his brain for HHS secretary. We hire the most unintelligent person to be the director of national intelligence. Hiring someone for bls who wants to abolish it is only logical.

  20. Anyone coming out if Heritage is in support of destruction of the US, including democracy and the Constitution. They are following the Russian and Hungary playbooks of authoritarian and oligarchy. Russia fabricates all their numbers.
