If there are no consequences to the "president" for threatening political opponents with death or being cruel to reporters, then why is it even news? Just so we can all be sad about it?

Replies

  1. It should always be publicized because there are still people in this country who do not know or believe what is happening. It is not "news" because it is literally new, but because it is unknown in depth to many. And it must be underlined and reported with clearly relevant references.

  2. Sort of yes, you can think about it in terms of the metoo movement, women wanted to show how men were immune to the effects of their sexual assault and rich white guys shut it down. The immunity to consequences is why they want power

  3. This has actually gotten a little bit better lately with the polarization of political news & rise of advocacy journalism, but for most of my life, I noticed that most political news outlets would not cover any decision-making process until it was over, ensuring a lack of public participation.

  4. They got it on record. These things tend to happen fast. He’s being watched like a virus under a microscope.

  5. By mid-terms, American voters would have forgotten he is such an idiot if not reminded constantly. The same folk who either voted for him or allowed him to win.

  6. So news can sell more advertising after poking our emotions. But yeah...I know...it was rhetorical.

  7. Yes, this is all so ridiculous, and what is really sad, the people who could put an end to all this chaos are our elected officials in washington. Remember if and when we can vote again.

  8. It’s news because Trump is good at controlling the narrative.

When Trump’s back is against the wall he pushes back with rhetoric that deflects from what put his back against the wall.

Epstein put Trump’s back to the wall. Trump’s threat against political opponents deflects.

  9. When the DEM leadership comes out of hiding well after it's safe for them, they will have eventually very strongly worded speeches condemning it! Vote 3rd party!!!!!

  10. So the world knows. Also, so much of what he does never makes the mainstream news, and that’s why he’s in office. Information might make a difference eventually.

  11. Modern media and entertainment have platformed spectacle, violent conflict, and humiliation to such an extent that people like Donald Trump ride its wave to the most powerful position in the world.

  12. Sane washing a pedo apologist who enjoys threatening to execute dems in his past time….when he’s not literally tearing down historical landmarks or the constitution itself.

    Yet he’s still not impeached.

Imagine if a black guy was disgracing the country the way Trump and his sycophants have.

  13. You have to go for your military to take over the presidency for fucks sake he sent a fucking spy balloon over America under the 17th letter. I wonder which country sort of directed it. It was an American person that ordered it and it was delivered by a Russian syndicate or Chinese syndicate

  14. The comments on TikTok last night varied from, they should be arrested because they are traitors/seditionists for what they said to, it was just words calm down your hurt fee fees libtards to, they aren’t doing anything unlawful so it was unnecessary to make that video. So many defending this.

  15. Well according to his Sugar Baby press Secretary we should be grateful for his transparency. Poole love that he says what he thinks. Maybe some crazy people do but I am not impressed the is filth vulgarity and corruption. So Sugar Baby maybe the press will be transparent and refer to his dementia

  16. Well, there are definitely no legal consequences because our corrupt conservative, right wing, Republican Supreme Court has already ruled he's above the law. However, they sound like things at least some voters may want to know about, just as a heads up or FYI situation.

  17. He hates rejection . These Congressional Dems made a video addressed to the military "remember your oath" tRump sees this as a rebuke, a rejection, drives him crazy. Power of the People must continue to reject him, out loud, in his face, protest, Boycott, it's working. ##TrumpIsUnfitForOffice

  18. You may have to arrange for the consequences yourselves, since the entire system has been compromised. Fortunately there are hundreds of millions of you and only a handful of them.

It's probably just fallout from the time he spent rubbing bits with the Prince of Pieces, where slaughtering anyone you don't like is just another day at the office. Everything will be fine, you'll see... 🤦‍♀️

  20. It’s good for the rest of the world to see how low you’ve sunk. The depths of your leader’s depravity seem boundless. And yet he continues to represent you all without fear of retaliation. Truly America is being made great again.

  21. Yeah! Why aren’t they addressing this crap to Congress? Oh, probably because it’s our job to contact Congress!

  22. Curious that Tramp has been a mysogenistic A Hole since before Grab them by the P. How many sh*tty things has he said to & about women since then?with Maggots not being bothered at all and others not coming to women's defense. But NOW we're bothered by "Piggy." But still no one stops him

  23. Trump is an extremely sick and dangerous man. NO ONE knows what he will do next...not sure he even knows. His impulsivity is a danger to ALL OF US....and even to the world. He needs to go. #25thAmendment

  24. To the last question, yes.

A big portion of MAGA juice is squeezed from us, my friend. "Owning the libs" is almost entirely seeing people being sad that horrific things are being done by incredibly shitty people against, well, anyone else. It's their crack cocaine.

  25. They need to have a 100% failproof way to impeach AND convict him. Generally only the impeachment is done, but I'm pretty sure they wanna take this all the way to court so dotting 'i's" and crossing "t's" should be important to never experience this insanity ever again.

    0
  26. The first step is to vacate the speaker. As long as that kiss ass Johnson is speaker, he will never let impeachment come up for a vote. There are a few republicans who are sick and tired of this too, and what he did is horrid to some senators. They might have a chance without Maga mike

  27. He is just pretending to be an innocent victim, but everyone knows what kind of person he really is😄

  28. Cause people uninformed or mollified by the corporate media will roll over about it unless it's made to be news instead of normalized?

    0
  29. if there are any republicans of character left, there must be consequences - he will also come for them whether they rise or not

  30. Documentation, for one. Each news article/show has the evidence of the threats and abuses. Hard to "disappear" everything in that case. Empathy/sympathy, for another. To show agreement that what was said was wrong, and we support the abused. Exposing the truth, the persona, behind the face.

  31. Too many J6 running around free now so I pray our Dems remain safe!

What's disgusting, Trump will pardon these nut jobs anyway.

    Enough already! Impeach!!

    0
  32. The 1st consequence should have been BREAKING HEADLINES on all news/info media as well as all reporters calling for a boycott of all trump interviews. The 2nd consequence should have been Republican leaders calling for his IMMEDIATE OUSTER.

    FFS...make him IRRELEVANT!!

    0
  33. They all say the same thing !! Him being Him!! DEMS BETTER GROW BALLS!! CAAL IT OUT !!! MEDIA THINKS THEY WILL BE SAFE? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  34. And Schumer being concerned was a typical letdown. Did he call out any of his Republican "colleagues" and ask them to speak out and condemn this insanity! Nah. Only Chris Murphy had the cojones to say it. www.reddit.com/r/Fauxmoi/co...

  35. I do believe you are on to something here. These stories become weight that threaten to crush our hope potentially. The wealthy few that own these news outlets are the enemy and diminishing our morale and fight keeps us all oppressed.

  36. Yes. It's the Trump gravy train. Democrats and Independents suck from its tit, too. I wish they'd all just STFU about Trump. He'd go away. I bet 99% of his tactics are just to see folks' reactions. He loves attention good or bad. Great job everyone. Keep up the great work. Trump 24/7/365. Yay. 🤑

  37. Why is he accusing.them.of Sedation.when.he caused the biggest in.the history.of the country Jan 6th was viciousness threatening congress demacrats. the man needs to be removed !! his psycho followers are nuts, they might try to hurt one or all.the congress people. Fox Ntl News should be banned

  38. Why on earth aren’t the citizens of America up in arms about this dangerous president. America is a laughing stock all around the world. How much more crimes is this disgusting human being have to commit before citizens stand up and say enough is enough.

    0
  39. Trump knows: If he says something that his followers take him seriously. It excites them to be given the chance to please him. That is what makes Trump's comments so dangerous. If anything happens to the military veteran Congress members who reminded the military to obey the law, Trump's fault.

    0
  40. Republicans are fucking cowards. They would have impeached a democrat president for half the shit trump says. But they are incredibly silent about trump’s comments.

    1
  41. What consequences should he face? Censure? He won’t care. Impeachment? GOP reps & senators gave him a pass on attacking them on Jan. 6. Removal by the Cabinet under the 25th Amendment? It’s stacked with sycophants & autocratic-loving morons. Civil suits won’t work bc courts enforce via US Marshals.

    1
  42. Democracies run on information that is truthful. Ignorance is the tyrant's strength. To remove Trump, vote people into Congress who will restore checks and balances and then impeach him. Not reporting on his increasingly vile and erratic behavior will simply allow it to continue and worsen.

    0
  43. Consequences can take time to come. Sometimes a very long time. But they do come.

Keeping tabs on the cretins and criminals is important. Documenting their words and deeds is key.

    1
  44. I have been wondering this sort of thing for a long time.

Every time we report on some new horror he has perpetrated, the MAGA cult loves him more, and he faces zero consequences.

WE NEED A PLAN TO BEAT HIM. Not just another gnashing of teeth.

    0
  45. The consequences are at the ballot. He may have those voters who look the other way at the unprofessional and disrespectful things he does, but many don't. He should be called out every time he does this. We will not normalize this disgusting behavior.

    0
  46. Start with record poll ratings even on Fox News. There's nothing he can do as they continue to crash.

The consequence is a landslide win next fall and he knows it.

The lame-ass media owns some responsibility. They should have been outraged.

    0
  47. I haven’t seen anything on mainstream media other than one small blurb. No talk of impeachment no congress to be seen other tha Al green, this congress is pathetic and trump knows it. The public needs to impeach the train in chief

    0
  48. Grow up. Use your energy for better things. You people are all infatuated with making enormous spectacles of every damn thing Trump does. It’s truly disgusting and irrelevant.

    0
  49. I don’t care what SCOTUS says, there is NO IMMUNITY for abuses of power, which include acts that clearly violate the Constitution.

    0
  50. So true🎯💯!!! It's been a constant cycle of absolutely unacceptable behavior with no consequences🤬

    0
  51. Agreed. When you put it in context with SCOTUS giving him permission to have his political adversaries killed by Navy Seals, it's not such a big deal, right? Just another day in Murica.

    0
  52. No. The left has been ineffective in bringing down President Trump, and in an attempt to stave off resulting despair amongst their base, they are frantically looking for an event/issue to stir them up, hence outrage over superficial and/or manufactured scandals.

    0
  53. He should have been “done for” when he tried to shake down Georgia for “just 11,780 votes” ON TAPE with Witnesses!!! How did this not end it???

  54. You can Thank The Corrupted Robert's Supreme Court for allowing this to happen in our country

Just because there are no legal consequences doesn't mean there are no political consequences.

  56. Americans are being gaslighted. We have watched a felon become president and been told that's OK. We have watched masked men invade our cities and been told that's OK. We now are watching a president who has a close association with a pedophile, and that's OK? I got news for you none of this is OK.

    0
  57. Basically? With the Supreme Court protecting Trump at all levels, there's not a huge amount that can be done legally.

  58. 18 USC ch 115 sec 2385- Advocating Overthrow of the Govt ... "by assassination of opponents" is a crime punishable by: fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both & shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof ...

  59. When you are waist-deep in Seditious Conspiracy Insurrectionist Coupsters, it’s hard to remember your primary job was to indict, prosecute, and incarcerate the Republican Congresspeople that planned, participated, and conspired to overthrow the 2020 free and fair election.

    0
  60. I got banned from Reddit for saying much less threatening things than our president does openly. The rules don't seem to apply to this mother fucker. You know it does? Physics, medical state, and mental illness. Hopefully one of those takes him soon.

    1
  61. We don't have a president. Having a president implies that someone is governing. We have a king, who gets to say and do anything he likes, and is above all laws.

    0
  62. More then a third of eligible voters didn't bother to vote, think of every miserable news report highlighting the newest creepy, inhumane, or just asshole thing that he has done is another kick in the ass to get everyone to vote. And just maybe enough of this BS might get some magas to think

    0
  63. He jumped right past “Let them eat cake”.

Yet still we get shit for “liberal-led violent political rhetoric” about Kirk, with this from the President. The President!

Still feelin’ mighty 1789 up in here…

  64. I hear you. I've posted twice this week questioning the value of the many posts saying some version of "x, y or Z just happened. This is bad. You should be very worried about this"

OK. I'm very worried. Now what?

  66. It makes me sad but what it really does is enrage me. I will never let that sorry excuse for a human being destroy my country!

    0
  67. We need to be the consequences. We need to push this news to people who have not seen it.

    0
  68. It is literally just so we’ll get sad and angry. Media thrives on that. It makes them money because it gets views and generates engagement (comments, likes…) Add on the ad revenue, and they’re making bank. That’s why you don’t see much happy news: people love controversy 😮‍💨

    0
  69. Every day he does or says some horrific thing & there are never any consequences other than gaslighting. I have also come to the point of why the news, if he is still supported & cheered on by everyone who should be holding him accountable. We no longer have 3 branches of government, we have Trump

    0
  70. The sad part is it really doesn't even warrant outrage anymore. Americans are shrugging their shoulders saying just another treasonous thing our dictator president us doing that NO ONE will do anything about. I truly fear for my country

    https://for.my

  71. So, you’re a snowflake for what you call Trump being cruel to reporters. She deserved what she got as she was piggish for interrupting another reporter after she was able to ask her question without interruptions

    0
  72. this, it just becomes another day of the week.

Again, first thing that needs to be done, is term limits on Robert's rouge court.

    0
  73. It’s news because there are no consequences. In other words, the fact that there are no consequences is as extraordinary as the fact that he called for the death of senators. There are two extraordinary stories in the US, one is Trump and the other is the people who elect and enable him.

    1
  74. You have a point. This is the guy who said he could stand on 5th Ave. & shoot somebody and no one would care. He still won. He's ordering the obliteration of people on boats in the Caribbean. And he intimated that Jamal Khashoggi's murder might've been justified because some people didn't like him.
