It is interesting that GOP is so worried about losing the House they are willing to go nuclear on mid-decade gerrymandering but aren't willing to consider the alternative of maybe shifting away from policies that are deeply unpopular.

  2. It is so interesting that the Dems were so not worried about losing to Trump that they ran Biden and Harris. Honestly didn't they learn from 2016? Or don't they really care.

  3. Then they would have to admit that they've been wrong, Conservatives/fundamentalists CANNOT ever admit to making a mistake. Because if they admit they were wrong about one thing, it opens the door to the possibility they were wrong about other things. Or everything.

  4. Their entire mindset is “do what you’re told. “Of course they’re not going to change their way of thinking, they are just enraged that we’re not falling in line.

  5. Republicans hate democracy of any kind. It’s just in the open now. If supporting slavery is any indication.

  6. The GOP will never shift away from deeply unpopular policies because they are the political arm of the American wealthy. They enact the will of the elites and the media launders the harmful policies for the public.

  7. With gerrymandering, voter suppression and propaganda, they show they don't WANT democracy, just victory. They want to be free of voters.

With crypto and insider trading and tariff wars, they raise money without donors. They want to be free of donors too. A Criminal regime accountable to no one.

  8. Policies that are unpopular. Yep. blindly supporting the demands of a convicted felon, and against their own constituents.

    0
  9. Because they don't give a shit that their policies are unpopular, it's what they've dreamed about for over 50yrs and they're not letting go now!

Trump is the white dot on top of the pimple that has festered in American politics since the 60's...

  10. They could just do the right thing ? I think they were promised they would be the oligarchs . They all must go

    0
  11. No ... not interesting.. just cheating and stealing votes right from under our noses.. Every GOP IS ENABLING THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR COUNTRY FOR A ORANGE IDIOT RAPIST FELON!!

  12. I know it’s like that is the last thing they would do! My mind is hurting from their mental illness!

  13. It’s interesting trump wants to send the feds to run DC because a DOGE employee was beaten when he refused to send troops while Capitol Police were beaten and killed and his VP hid from the gallows.

  14. dems and republicans goals conflict with having good/popular policies, outside of republicans recruiting a base and building support for their bad policies, and dems having enough watered down versions of good policies to just barely convince enough people to ignore ones they share with republicans

  15. They know they just have to go a little further to completely destroy democracy and then they'll never need to worry about votes ever again - they'll be permanently enshrined in the ruling class. (As long as they keep kissing up to their Dear Leader.)

  17. Because if they lose the house and senate, their dictator and protector falls. Then they will have no one to get between them and the people they screwed over.

  18. It’s truly mind blowing that there are 219 elected GOP Representatives in the House and none of them are willing to actually do work for the majority of their constituents. Even their MAGA constituents (a minority, for sure) don’t want much of this madness.

    0
  19. It's almost as if they're in power to get what they want and not what people want. And they dgaf about cheating to do it because history has shown that dems will gladly let them because they actually want republican policies too

    0
  20. Their policies are about force and control. How do they achieve that? Only one way. By dictatorship. Freedom and democracy are the opposite!

    0
  21. GOP Nazis don’t care about their shitty policies not being accepted by the people.

  22. Isn't it sickening? They can't even play by the rules and try and work with the American people they treat them like s*** they took all these programs and millions away from medicaid. They don't give a shit. They'd rather gerrymander. Isn't that insane?. Losers man

    1
  23. Just a fun fact for this tyrant regime and GOP.Americans citizens are the most ARMED in the world. It’s not even close! This is what you guys wanted. So congratulations on a win.Just a fun fact in case you forgot! Resist now or lose your freedom and things you needed to help you. I think that’s a fact

  24. It’s much easier to cheat. Lazy man’s way of adding Republican seats. They can’t go out and talk to the people without getting called out and booed every second. They have to push the policies that people hate because of Orange Dictators Would come down on them! It’s a bit late but it’s Revolution

  25. Nothing is going to help them, they are going to lose in places they thought were safe. Their policies will hurt people and the economy is shit and inflation is bad. People are already feeling it. Nothing is going to save them, they are cooked

  26. It's been a decades long effort for these worthless hack assholes. They've overtly used various dirty tricks to attain almost complete control of the US government, and there's not a chance they plan to relinquish power. They are anti-democratic, anti-American and unpatriotic fascist swine.

    0
  27. To be fair it does give hope cause they're risking a dummymander for 5ish seats. You don't do that unless you're legit scared of losing power.

    0
  28. Right? That is the biggest 🚩 that they are NOT “for the people!” Open your eyes Republican voters!!

    0
  29. The goal is permanent power. They have no fidelity to truth, democracy, or helping anyone but themselves

    0
  30. They will do ANYTHING - including blatantly lying to their constituents - to gain or retain power. We’d better get a plan as they will continue to do the bidding of the felon in chief unless we stop the scourge. The good guys outnumber the bad.

    0
  31. as the protectors of the U.S. Democracy, the GOP must be free to enact whatever policy they need regardless of the will of the people... that's against the rules... we'll either ignore the rules or change the rules

    0
  32. And go against American oligarchs with all the money? It will never happen. Democracy has ended. You can look in a Republican's wallet to see where their loyalty lies.

    0
  33. LOL. They would never do that. They are entrenched in their own bullshit. Watch them talk to each other. It's like they came here from Uranus

    0
  34. They think they have the power to entrench, they have more vileness in store, and they and their allies want to be immune from any consequences for what they've already done.

    0
  35. You are not helping by calling out their hypocrisy - they never believed in democracy. This is the beginning of their full take down of the system. Stay on point.

    0
  36. They don't care about how unpopular their policies are. They believe their own lies about how the country wants Republicans to rule. They have said it so much now, they believe it, despite the fact that they have to gerrymander just to get the votes they need.

    0
  37. They will throw the baby out because she’s making the bath water dirty….they’ll keep the bath water..

    0
  38. They're committed to a Trump monarchy in a way that's frankly revolting and revelatory - they don't believe they have the personal efficacy or talent to do anything beyond following his absurd whims

    0
  39. Well, they're cowards & doing so would be going against Trump. Which they're unwilling to do. They're in too deep with Trump, so all they can do is enable Trump by whatever means possible.

    0
  40. But their policies, favoring business (corporate and "trusts") have been Republican philosophy and policy for 125 years. Rick Scott EMBODIES the Republican mantra.

    0
  41. Going nuclear on gerrymandering shows they’d rather manipulate power than listen to the voters who are clearly unhappy with their policies. Maybe it’s time to change the message, not just the map.

    0
  42. To be fair, from this point of view, Democrats aren't any different either. They take a right wing stance, don't budge when the left scold them, they wait for the GOP to take an extreme right stance and then just point at it: "see, we aren't that bad, you have to vote for us!".

    0
  43. When you are a sociopathic war mongering party that has literally never given two shits about the working class… makes since that all you care about is spending time and money on fighting wars, domestic and foreign…

    1
  44. It just shows that this GOP never cared about their constituents, this is all about power & greed. TX republicans constituents recently died via flood and yet that was easily pushed aside as if it never happened. They don’t care!

    0
  45. Nope. Hell bent on fascism. It’s what Dear Leader has ordered, so anyone who strays from the path is excised.

    0
  46. Trump knows that if the Dems retake the House there would be a good chance he would be impeached (for the third time) for all the unconstitutional actions he has taken.

He is desperate to keep his GOP toadies in charge of the House to prevent this.

    0
  47. The policies are the point. There's not much mystery in it. Hell, that's why Democrats sabotage efforts to change things too. The policies, however unpopular and disastrous, are the point. It's what they want. They want it this way. Genocide is capitalism's first resort in adversity.

    0
  48. When you seize the levers of power and willing to use the full force of state violence against anyone that opposes you, you tend to not care about the polling on your policies. You can just force it on everyone. If you can destroy free elections, it gets even easier.

  50. Wow, there is a whole lot of Psychological Projection in that skeet. The Ds' aren't willing to shift away from Lying about wanting to Pass Legislation that is Deeply Popular. Blue MAGA is just as delusional as Red MAGA.

    3
  51. Which is why I voted for Dr. Jill Stein, a Leader who understands Healthcare is not about Corporate Profits, Global Warming is not about Jobs, Education is not about Indentured Servitude and Genocide and War are not about increasing Corporate Donor Wealth. #GreenParty #GeneralStrike #M4A

  52. Let's Be Clear, If the U.S. had M4A there would be no Need for Medicaid Budgets or Veterans Hospitals. Excess Bureaucracy results from the Gov't trying to Ration Healthcare, Education and Wealth Distribution, Not the other Way Around. #M4A #MMT #Capitalists #EndStageCapitalism

    1
  53. The GOP passes Policies that are Deeply Unpopular commonly with wide Liberal Help like the "Genius Bill" or giving Billions to Israel to Kill Children. Yet the Ds' cannot or will not even try on Policy that is deeply Popular and exasperatingly Fail every Time. #CorporateDuopoly #M4A

  54. The party loves them, MAGA loves them, greedy millionaires and billionaires love them.

Why would they change a thing?

    0
  55. Because they are cheaters, so they THINK like cheaters! There’s never any introspection going on!

    0
  56. And they won't release the Epstein files. They won't release files that expose child predators. Let that sink in.

    0
  57. So true! It would be so much easier and it would make much more sense for the GOP to attempt to appeal to their voters rather running to new districts where they don't have to appeal to anybody but Trump. Telling truth to the people and articulating their platform makes much more sense.

  59. They cannot. They have sworn allegiance to the fat fuck and not to America. Just like the SS.

    0
  60. They don't care about winning power legitimately because they don't give a damn what the people think about anything. They just want to seize power and turn us into the biggest shithole on planet Earth.

    0
  61. You might consider the possibility that they don’t care if anyone likes their policies—because they seem to only care about grabbing all of the power and maintaining power by any means.

    0
  62. Well, that would take BRAINS and a CONSCIENCE, neither of them available within their CHRISTIAN ETHICS. Ask them when they are kneeling in chambers next time.

    0
  63. It’s not interesting.. it’s the direction they’ve been moving in for years.. many of the folk who didn’t want to be part of it left.. we will see how many are left that may push back or that will leave or if blackmail and/or money has already been used on them and they’re ok with it!

    0
  64. Why would they shift their policy views at this point when the belief is they’ll have one party control for all time?

    0
  65. Many State judges and Judges on US Supreme Court take oath to constitution and yet choose to be enemies of it.

Gerrymandering, poll taxes are not constitutional because they deny people Republican Form of Government.

State law enforcement have an obligation to arrest these judges.

    0
  66. It is because they can't fix the next election electronically without getting caught. They are panicking. Or, being overly dramatic once again! Drama! Drama! Drama!

    0
  67. Kinda too late for that piece of advice. GOP donors expect cosmic dividends in return for their investments. The die has been cast.

    0
  68. But but but what about the billionaires? They might miss out on a single dollar that should be theirs!!!!!

    Bleh, disgusting.

  69. It’s almost like there’s a foreign government is bribing/blackmailing our representatives to keep military funds flowing to fund a genocide.😒

    0
  70. Depends on their goal, of course. I'd say their goal is not to shift away from policies that are deeply unpopular but to create a one-party nation. Their idea (which, at the moment, seems plausible) is that Democrats won't fight fire with fire.

    0
  71. There’s a lot of money to be made implementing unpopular policies…

You can blame the democrats and big government for the pain, while telling everyone on Faux News that you’re protecting their kids from transsexuals.

    0
  72. Not interesting at all. They are grabbing as much as fast as they can. It is strategic. We will never be free, or even enjoy this imitation freedom we fantasize that we have, again as a working class. Americans will become a slave work force for the rich in a decade -- even moreso than we are now.

    0
  73. They gave up on running on policies. They know their agenda isn't popular. The more they lose, the more they try to say Dems cheat or they actually rig things in their favor with extreme gerrymandering, voter suppression and actual voter intimidation. They stopped being a political party in 2010.

    1
  74. The last time I remember this party doing something favorable was when the EPA was created. That guy was up for impeachment for lying (and more). Notice a pattern?

    0
  75. The GOP is a wholly fascist ongoing criminal enterprise engaged in the destruction of our nation's freedoms though all means at their disposal.

    Intimidation Incarcertaion Extermination

    Same as it ever was.

Nazi or Nat-C no matter the name the evil depravity's always the same.

  76. White Nationalist Fascism is making its move. Abbott has sworn allegiance to WNF, acting as a full-fledged dictator, vowing to lawlessly and illegally carry out Trumpism s redistricting order, ethnically cleansing non-whites from political and civic relevance.

Trump is getting Texans to start a war

    1
  77. It's by design. The politicians are just weak puppets doing as they're instructed by companies like Palantir. Who literally did a presentation where they said they know nobody would ever vote for the things they want to do and they have ways around that. By things like getting the support of Maga.

    0
  78. They made a choice to knowingly follow a fascist which required selling their souls. You can't renege on that deal, the only way is forward full speed into fascism because turning back only brings you face to face with angry villagers wielding torches and pitchforks.
