This is a good delay tactic by the TX Democrats, to piss off the republicans. However, republicans will redraw their congressional maps in TX. Florida and Ohio will follow. Democrats in California, Illinois, New York, Oregon, Washington, et al must respond in kind and fast. Time is of the essence.

What it does is it buys the Democrats time.
Eventually they will be forced to return and the map will pass. But the hope is that by buying more time, Dems can prepare for when it does pass.

I like this, but I am fearful this will just delay Dem Govs from gerrymandering their own states. Then, Texas ends up Gerrymandering (the Dems canāt stay away forever) while blue states run out of time or when they do gerrymander, courts intervene and prevent blue state reciprocity.
