Why the hell isn’t the county prosecutor and the attorney General filing these charges? 15 years ago Texas Rangers arrested border patrol officers for this kind of thing.     I'm curious about 1 aspect of law: slander/libel/damages. This hurts reputation, career, livelihood.

    As I understand it, it's harder to take action against those in public office for slander than against the press etc

    But there's a pattern of false stmts, no retraction, & detaining to intimidate.

    There should be a federal law that limits statements about people accused of crimes until after conviction.

    This law should create a cause of action for false statements, especially false statements of people who die after law enforcement involvement.

    I think about what it would be like to brutalize people — in this case, dragging them from the car and throwing them in jail — knowing that not only are you and your team armed and the individual is not, but also that if they were to somehow fight back anyway, they would be sent to prison.
